Man Yuen graduated in 1993 from the University of East London. Having worked in Hertfordshire and Hong Kong, she returned to complete her Masters in Manual Therapy at Glasgow Caledonian University. The basis of her approach is based in Be Activated, the origin of Reflex Performance Reset in America, with other significant manual therapies, such as myofascial release, manipulation and mobilisation. She also uses Acupuncture and Visceral mobilisation to ensure the origin and depth of an issue is addressed.
Man Yuen has been working in private practice in and around Edinburgh since 2007. Her work has predominantly been with Occupational Health, amateur sports people and recurrent spinal pain (backs and necks). Prior to this, she worked in the NHS in England, at St John's Hospital, the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Borders General Hospitals as well as public and private clinics/hospitals in Hong Kong. Her work has included international sports people and events, national and regional rugby events, acrobats, to those with everyday issues such as putting their socks on. She took over Marchmont Physiotherapy Clinic from Melanie McAinsh in April 2018.
